For Alicia Keys fans Christmas will come 24 days early as the R&B/soul singer has pegged December 1st to release her new album, The Element Of Freedom.

The Grammy Award winning singer worked with longtime collaborator Kerry “Krucial” Brothers along with Grammy-winning producer Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Jay-Z). Keys released a statement on Friday talking about the album and the making of. “The music is really strong, and the drums are really aggressive, but my voice is vulnerable and delicate.”

In 2007 the multi-platinum I Am spawned hits like “No One” and “Like You’ll Never See Me Again,” Keys expects this album to serve as creative emancipation. “Eliminating all of the boundaries and all the limitations, so that you can feel your freedom and express your freedom in every way you possibly can, and that’s what I did with this album.”

Keys will perform her first single “Doesn’t Mean Anything” on Live With Regis and Kelly later today.
