Beyonce To Put Some Clothes On It In Malaysia
By Rondell Conway
Beyonce won’t be her bootylicious self when she rocks the crwod in Malaysia next month. The R&B superstar plans to clean up her act after some criticism.
According to the Associated Press, Beyonce vows to be on her best behavior for a concert in the Muslim-majority country, Malaysia, next month. Event organizers, Marctensia, told the AP that “all parties have come to an amicable understanding” about stage costumes at the stadium concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s largest city. Th biggest opposition to Bey’s performance came from Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, the country’s largest opposition group. They raised concerns that the show would promote “Western sexy performances.” Other pop stars such as Avril Lavigne and Gwen Stefani have performed in Malaysia under similar protest threats by conservative Muslims in recent years, forcing the artists to don attire that revealed little skin.
Not going to be the same watching B perform “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” without her signature bathing suit and pumps. Lames!
