Everyone knows that Chic’s “Le Freak” is a definitive disco hit, but not much love is given to the album that spawned the massive hit plus more.

On December 23, 1978, Chic’s sophomore album C’est Chic reached the #4 spot on the Billboard charts. Along with the monster hit “Le Freak” and the successful follow-up “I Want Your Love” the album featured smooth grooves “Savoir Faire,” “At Last I Am Free,” upbeat cuts like “Happy Man,” “Sometimes You Win”, and sensual “Chic Cheer,” “[Funny] Bone.”
