India.Arie & Tamia Set To Kick Off Soul Summer Concerts

It’s not officially summer until we celebrate 4th of July. This Independence Day the Soul Summer Concert Series kicks off in Orlando, FL and the stars of the show, India.Arie & Tamia, are ready to set things off with a bang.
If you’re in the Orlando, FL area tomorrow, the place to be is the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center. It’s the site of the Soul Summer Concert Series launch. The kick off concert stars Grammy Award winning soul artist India.Arie.
The event will also feature the golden voice of Grammy Award nominee Tamia. Special guests Bradd Marquis (Soul Man Records) & Hal Linton (Motown) will represent the future of soul.

I attended the concert…India.Arie and Tamia were amazing. When Tamia “[got] to the singing,” the crowd went wild. India.Arie had the crowd from Video to I Am Not My Hair (when she took off her wig of braids), The Truth, Therapy. After chanting India’s name for a few 2 mins wishing she’d return to the stage to do one more song….she returned with Ready for Love–it was refreshing to hear her vocals on the song, which is my fav ballad from her.
