On November 20, 1993 the people of Augusta, Georgia honored their native son James Brown by re-naming a street James Brown Boulevard. The hardest working man in show business honed his skills performing in local joints throughout Augusta before making it big. He wasn’t ashamed to tell his story of growing up in a house of prostitutes in Augusta. The Godfather of Soul loved his hometown and they loved him back.
