According to Atlantic Records, Irish soul singer Laura Izibor has been invited by President Barack Obama to the The White House for the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations on March 17.

Every year on Saint Patrick’s Day at the White House, they celebrate “all things Irish”. The festivities will include a hand-over of shamrock from the Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister). Irish golfer Padraic Harrington and female boxer Katie Taylor have also been invited to the event.

Izibor is a Meteor Award/Choice Award nominated singer who is currently touring across the US with Chrisette Michele.
