Music stars Sinead O’Connor, Mary J. Blige and newcomer Martha B have come together to help bring attention to human trafficking around the world. President Obama has proclaimed January 11, 2010 National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

On June 27, 2007 a Senate resolution, first proposed by Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), John Cornyn (R-TX), Barack Obama (D-IL), and Dick Lugar (R-IN) was passed to help bring awareness to this problem which has affected millions of women and children.
