The Miracles: A Hold On The Charts

Before they became known as Smokey Robinson & The Miracles the 1960’s R&B/soul group hit the charts with one of their most popular songs to date.

On December 8, 1962, The Miracles hit the charts wit their sweet jam, “You’ve Really Got A Hold On Me.” Written by the group’s frontman, Smokey Robinson, the single went on to #1 R&B and #8 pop. Feature on the album, The Fabulous Miracles (Tamla/Motown) the cut was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998.
