Usher, Kanye West, Jennifer Hudson Among The Stars For “We Are The World” Remake

25 years after the original was recorded a new crop of star joined forces to lend their talents to the new version of “We Are The World.”

More than 80 of entertainment brightest stars came together at Henson Studios in Los Angeles on Monday to record the new “We Are The World.”

According to MTV News among the star-studded choir were Pink, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Nick Jonas, LL Cool J, Robin Thicke, Celine Dion, Akon, Rob Thomas, Wyclef, Jeff Bridges, Vince Vaughn, Barbra Streisand, Jordin Sparks, Good Charlotte’s Madden brothers, Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Keri Hilson, Jamie Foxx, Tyrese, Katharine McPhee, Sean Garrett, Will.I.Am, Carlos Santana, Melanie Fiona, Enrique Iglesias, Toni Braxton, Jason Mraz, Miley Cyrus, Busta Rhymes, Nicole Scherzinger, Nicole Richie, Usher, Julianne Hough, Raphael Saadiq, Zac Brown, India.Arie, “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson, Musiq Soulchild, Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson, Fonzworth Bentley, Kid Cudi, Iyaz, Bizzy Bone, Nipsey Hussle, the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson and Al Jardine, Trey Songz, Faith Evans, Mya and Gladys Knight.

The complete list of participants was not released to the media. Word is Jay-Z and Eminem are also involved in the song. During the recording Kanye West stood in between Wyclef and J-Hud, while Usher stood not far away next to Will.i.am and Gladys Knight.

The video for the song will be shot in 3-D, and will debut February 12. All proceeds from the song will go to Haiti to help with earthquake relief efforts.
