The numbers are in and Rihanna’s new album, Rated R, came in at #4 selling 180,000 copies. Is that good or bad news?

This time last week the buzz for Rihanna’s new album, Rated R, had us all thinking she’d come away with astonishing sale numbers in her first week, despite the decline in CD sales across teh board. How could she not? She’s been on TV 24/7, done every interview possible and this was supposed to be the album that shoot her up to superstardom. Instead, some dude chick from the UK sold over 700,000 albums to reign on Rih-Rih’s parade.

So what does this all mean for Rihanna? The multi-platinum singer usually stats slow, will she bounce back from this.
