Who Should Star In The “Soul Train” Movie?

Alright party people, the “Soul Train” is about to pull into a movie theater near you and here’s your chance to play casting director.

According to Variety, Warner Bros. has green lit the making of a film based on the classic TV show “Soul Train.” Don Cornelius, the host and producer of the famed show, which ran from 1971-2006 will be on board as a co-producer. Malcolm Spellman, who wrote “Dead Presidents” is writing the film which takes place in the 80’s. Here’s how Spellman described the lead character, who uses his talents on the dance floor to escape his LA hood.

“This guy is a serious popper, with street edge, and he wants to get on that tour, with the hottest of the hot.”
