With the minimal success of newbie groups Electrik Red and Rich Girl, the dis-banding of Danity Kane, and Day 26’s recent drama, its safe to say R&B groups have seen better days.

Destiny’s Child called it quits in 2006 and there hasn’t been a mega group that’s come along to fill their big shoes since. In fact, the days of contemporary R&B units like New Edition, Boyz II Men, and En Vogue, are long gone. Question is: where have they gone? Why haven’t we seen a R&B super group since DC?
